How to Update Account Webpages
AKA Accessing and downloading your Infohost "public_html" files
Since there are new web services in place and the infohost.nmt.edu server has been deprecated, Infohost sites are not available anymore. However, your files are still accessible and you can still modify your files, but the methodology is different.
You will no longer be able to login and directly edit your files. Infohost will not allow direct logins. To download the files on your old site you must follow the new procedure. Since it is not web accessible anymore, there is no need to upload any new files.
SFTP
- Use your favorite SFTP program (e.g. filezilla on a Academic Lab machine) to access the server tccweb.nmt.edu
- Login to tccweb.nmt.edu using your old username and password (e.g. jdksmith and your old jdksmith password prior to the change)
- Your website is located in public_html just as before
- Transfer the files to your machine.
RSYNC - Not supported natively (read below)
The RSYNC technology is no longer supported as you should only need to copy your files
off the server.
