In addition to its high academic achievements, New Mexico Tech has more than a dozen research divisions that work with private industry, government agencies and other universities. These divisions employ undergraduate students, offer research opportunities for graduate students, and contribute ground-breaking research to the scientific canon and the world of industry, science and engineering.
From day one at New Mexico Tech our students, or Techies, are exposed to hands-on research, critical-thinking, and an entrepreneurial spirit as part of their voyage of inquiry, inspiration, and innovation. As a Techie you will be part of a history and ethos of intellect, resilience, dedication and potential that have been part of the character of New Mexico Tech since it was founded in 1889. When you graduate from New Mexico Tech you will not only become an alumnus of an institution of higher education that has proudly educated students over 13 decades, but join a family of alumni that have innovated, designed, and built technologies, businesses, and enterprises.
