Socorro's 28th Annual (1st-Time) Stay-at-Home July 4th Celebration:
Virtual Concert & Fireworks - Campus Closed

Saturday, July 4
Noon:  Online concerts begin
Dark:   Fireworks will be visible throughout Socorro
Please stay at home to watch the fireworks.  
NM Tech Campus and the golf course will be closed and monitored.

Virtual Concert starts at Noon on Facebook and Youtube.  Featuring Socorro Bands:  Roon, Doug Figgs Trio, Mine Country Drifters, The Murillos, Rob Lopez & The Infidels and Suavecito   Recorded Live at Socorro Sessions Social Distance Concert Series

Fireworks at Dark New Mexico Tech’s annual July 4th fireworks display will take place this year. In order to ensure everyone can see the display while practicing proper social distancing in accordance with New Mexico’s COVID-19 guidelines, the fireworks will be relocated to near the top of M Mountain. This will allow the Socorro community to take in the fireworks from the comfort of their homes. While the Socorro community usually takes in the display from the New Mexico Tech Golf Course, the course will not be available for spectators this year. In order to protect the health and wellbeing of the Socorro community, NMT's main campus is closed for viewing of the fireworks, as well as all other 4th of July festivities.
