Dr. Tabetha Boyajian, professor at Louisiana State University, has been selected as the 2018 Charles Millar Endowed Lecturer. In 2015, a strange pattern of light from star KIC 8462852, was captured by the Kepler Space Telescope. The star was later nicknamed "Tabby's Star" after Boyajian, the lead researcher who discovered the irregular light fluctuation. In February 2016, Boyajian gave a TED (Conference) talk where she explained the story of how her research on the star quickly took a turn into the mysterious.  3 p.m. in Workman 101.
