SOCORRO, N.M.  – New Mexico Tech is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. David Landrum as the new Associate Vice President for Administration and Finance.

Landrum comes to NMT with over 20 years of administrative experience and financial management. He will begin his post Tuesday, September 3, 2019, and will report to Dr. Cleve McDaniel, Vice President for Administration and Finance.

Landrum (pictured at right) comes to New Mexico Tech from the University of Oregon, where he has served as the Assistant Vice President for Research Business Administration since 2014. Landrum served the University of Oregon for 12 years, beginning as a financial analyst for budget and resource planning in 2007. He was then promoted to the Director of Finance for the Office of the Provost in 2008, followed by a three-year tenure as the Director of Administrative Services for Oregon’s Campus Police Department from 2011-14.

Landrum’s experience at Oregon includes extensive work with the Office of the Vice President for Research, Academic Affairs, Institutional Equity and Diversity and Planning and Budget.

Landrum holds a bachelor’s in Russian from the University of Oregon (1991) and a Master’s in Business Administration in Management from Syracuse University (1999). He also comes to NMT with 23 years of military experience, serving in the U.S. Army from 1981-2004. There he served as the Director of Resource Management for the 62nd Medical Brigade from 2002-04, among other financial and budgetary duties.
