Scholarships for Transfer Students
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Award: $6,000 per year, renewable, for a total 3 years (excluding summer semesters)
Eligibility: Must submit certificate verifying PTK membership, must have 3.5 cumulative college GPA and 45 college credits
Deadline: Must be admitted by April 1 for Fall or by November 1 for Spring.

Regents Scholarship
Award: $5,000 per year, renewable, for a total 3 years (excluding summer semesters)
Eligibility: 3.5 cumulative college GPA and 30 college credits.
Deadline: Must be admitted by April 1 for Fall or by November 1 for Spring.

Transfer Excel Scholarship
Award: $4,000 per year, renewable, for a total 3 years (excluding summer semesters)
Eligibility: 3.25 cumulative college GPA and 30 college credits
Deadline: Must be admitted by April 1 for Fall or by November 1 for Spring.

Tech Transfer Scholarship
Award: $2,000 per year, renewable, for a total 3 years (excluding summer semesters)
Eligibility: 3.0 cumulative college GPA and 30 college credits
Deadline: Must be admitted by April 1 for Fall or by November 1 for Spring.
UNDERGRADUATE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION & SCHOLARSHIPS
NM Legislative Lottery Scholarship
Award: To be determined by state prior to each academic year. Award is renewable, for a total of 7 semesters between all colleges attended.
Eligibility: Students who are receiving this scholarship at their current college who maintain eligibility requirements.
Deadline: Prior to start of intended semester.

Western Undergraduate Exchange
(WUE) Program
Award: Student pays 150% of resident tuition rates. Renewable, for a maximum of 3 years
Eligibility: Must be a resident of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming
3.0 cumulative college GPA and 30 college credits
WUE recipients will also qualify for a Transfer scholarship based on GPA and 30 college credits
Deadline: Must be admitted by April 1
10 positions available each year. Apply early for best consideration.
Colorado Reciprocity (CORE) Scholarship
Award: Student pays resident tuition rates. Renewable, for a maximum of 3 years
Eligibility: Must be a Colorado resident
2.5 cumulative college GPA and 30 college credits
Recipients may also qualify for a Transfer scholarship based on GPA and 30 college credits
Deadline: Must be admitted by April 1
15 positions available each year. Apply early for best consideration.
Competitive Scholarship
Award: Student pays resident tuition rates Renewable, for a maximum of 3 years
Eligibility: Must be a non-resident student
3.5 cumulative college GPA and 30 college credits
Competitive Scholarship recipients will also qualify for a transfer scholarship based on GPA and 30 college credits
Deadline: Must be admitted by April 1
Limited varying number of scholarships available each year. Apply early for best consideration.
Tuition Reduction Agreements
Award: Student pays 150% of resident tuition rates. Renewable, for a maximum of 3 years.
Eligibility: Must be transferring to NMT from schools who have an active transfer agreement. These schools currently include:
- Pima Community College (AZ)
- Pueblo Community College (CO)
- Amarillo College (TX)
- South Plains College (TX)
- Santa Barbara College (CA)
- El Paso Community College (TX)
The Tuition Reduction Agreements are based on a min. 3.0 GPA and at least 30 college credits.
Recipients will also qualify for a Transfer scholarship based on GPA and college credits

Eligible students are offered one merit scholarship upon entering New Mexico Tech.
All merit scholarships for incoming students require the student to be enrolled full
time (12 hours or more per semester). Students must be pursuing their first Bachelor's
Degree in order to be eligible, and must transfer from a U.S. college or university.
International Undergraduate Students: You may qualify for one of the following transfer
scholarships only if you can show that you are maintaining legal F1 or J1 student
status.
