Robot Combat Competition
Event Date: April 19th, 2020 1-3pm Weir Hall Courtyard
For the first time ever on new New Mexico Tech’s campus, witness the brutal thrill of robot combat as contestants are pitted against each other in a ladder style tournament where only one robot will be crowned the victor!
This year New Mexico Tech is hosting the first robot combat competition where students from all departments will be able to compete and fight against eachother in a regulation style ladder match event. Each team will have the oppurtunity to build there own robot and create the perfect machine that will dominate the competition and handle the obsticles provided by the arena. All rules and regulations are provided below along with a general outline for their battle bot construction.
The event will include combat in two weight classes 3lb and 150grams. With first and second place winners in each, awarded with their names on a trophy, a lifetime worth of bragging rights throughout New Mexico Tech, and their picture in the news letter. We plan on having this event annually and are looking forward to the support of our faculty, students, and alumni in this event.
