NMT Recycling

New Mexico Tech Recycling LogoWe're bringing recycling back to New Mexico Tech! That's right, through campus research, we have found numerous grassroots efforts by NMT departments that wanted to start their own recycling programs.

Instead of leaving it up to each department to develop their own recycling program, the Tech Recycling Steering Committee was created to coordinate each department's effort into a cohesive, focused, campus-wide recycling project.

Our collective efforts with this team as well as those individuals whose day to day work is impacted with the additional efforts necessary to make this a successful team will need to be focused on the goal of reducing when necessary, reusing as much as possible and recycling at all times.

Race to Zero Waste 2021!

In case you missed it, you can catch the NMT Recycling Team's competition kick off here.

Each year, over 1,000 colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada compete in this eight-week competition to see which one can collect the largest amount of paper, cardboard, bottles, and cans on a per person basis. Find out more below!
