SOCORRO, N.M. – New Mexico Tech presented the winners of the drawings for new PlayStation 5 consoles with their prizes on Tuesday, March 30. The winners are Ethan Feuer and Madison Payne.

NMT President Dr. Stephen Wells presented the winners with new PlayStations. Their names were drawn randomly from the top 100 students who participated in the fall 2020 COVID online daily screening. All of the top 100 received a $50 gift card. NMT will hold another drawing for the top students in the spring 2021 semester.

Feuer is a senior in mechanical engineering set to graduate in May. Payne is a first-year master’s student in geochemistry.

NMT unveiled the Student Daily CV19 Symptom Screening in mid-October. Students were asked to fill out the form daily through the end of the fall semester. Almost 100 students filled out the form every day. The Symptom Screening page was relaunched with the beginning of the spring 2021 semester, with prizes to be announced after the semester ends.

Students were able to set up daily email reminders to fill out the form. Feuer said he filled out the form daily when he checked his email every morning.
