The CLASS Department will be hosting the inaugural Alexander Prusin Memorial Lecture on Friday, February 22 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Macey Center Auditorium.

Dr. Gabriel Finder, Associate Professor of German and the Ida and Nathan Kolodiz Director of the Jewish Studies Program at the University of Virginia, will be the featured speaker.

Dr. Finder, (pictured above) a longtime research partner of Alexander's, will be talking about the book that he published with Dr. Prusin. Justice Behind the Iron Curtain: Nazis on Trial in Communist Poland was the culmination of 10 years of scholarly and archival research. Published by the U of Toronto Press, the book was published just six weeks after Alexander's death.

Dr. Finder will reminisce on his time working with Dr. Prusin and discuss their book.

Book signings and hor d'oeurves will follow the talk. It's a good opportunity for friends, colleagues, and students to appreciate Dr. Prusin's legacy and scholarly endeavors.
