The NRAO is hosting the 53rd Annual Jansky Lecture, featuring Dr. Roger Blandford. His talk is "The Radio Harvest: The Remarkable History of Radio Astronomy." Blandford is the director of the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology at Stanford University. He will illustrate the remarkable history and international development of radio astronomy, paying special attention to cosmology, pulsars, massive black holes and one of the most fascinating recent discoveries -- fast radio bursts.
