The campus community is invited to a guest lecture hosted by the Summer Science Program. Dr. Debra Buczkowski, senior research scientist at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab. Her talk is "The Dawn Mission to Vesta and Ceres." 2:30 p.m. in Weir 102.
SSP is an immersive six-week program for exceptional high school students. They work in experimental science, designed to challenge and inspire talented rising seniors from around the world. Working in teams of three, participants at NMT complete an astrophysics research project from beginning to end: imaging and characterizing a near-earth asteroid.
