Week 6 of Competition: Campus Race to Zero Waste
Website: Click to Visit
Last year, we recycled 0.85 pounds per capita. Let's beat that this year!
How does the CRZW competition work?
NMT weighs recycling collected over 8 weeks and reports that weight to an online tracking system.
The total weight is divided by the number of students and employees, resulting in pounds per capita which is how schools are ranked.
New for 2021 competition:
3 winners for each 8-week category -- 1 for each campus size: small (<2,500), medium (2,501-7,000), large (7,001-17,000).
- Electronics Recycling, February 28 - March 28, 2021
Personal items can be turned in by appointment during the week. Make an appointment by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Virtual film screening of "Story of Plastic"
- Virtual Backyard Compost Trainings hosted by The New Mexico Recycling Coalition.
Registration is required and limited. More info here. Register here.
