West Coast Swing Lesson and Social Dance
Join the fun with West Coast swing dance lessons and a s social dance.
A beginner/intro lesson to West Coast Swing will beegin at 7:30 p.m. followed by social/practice dancing.
There will is no charge but if you have a good time consider leaving a small tip (totally optional). All proceeds will go to furthering dance in New Mexico including here at NMT.
Dance lessons will be conducted by Joseph Gleason and Dr. Craig Hogle, Gleason started dancing for the ASU ballroom dance team in 2008, focusing on smooth and standard dances. He discovered West Coast Swing in 2011 and has been an active competitor in the national circuit, currently competing at the advanced level. He is currently in the final semester of his Ph.D. in electrical engineering at UNM, specializing in control theory and stochastic verification theory.
Hogle started social dancing more than 10 years ago finding West Coast swing in 2014. Hogle and Gleason run a weekly social dance in Albuquerque focused on building community and sharing the love of dance. He enjoys the freedom of dancing either role and believes dancing can be fun for everyone.
