Virtual Screening of the film 'Picture a Scientist'
We invite you to register for a virtual screening of the 2020 documentary film "Picture a Scientist" (https://www.pictureascientist.com/) in celebration of Women’s History Month at New Mexico Tech. The event is free and open to all!
When: Any time between noon Sunday, Feb. 28 and noon Wednesday, March 3
Where: On your computer (streaming via Vimeo)
How: The virtual screening will be available to all pre-registered persons in the broader NMT community to watch at their own convenience during this 72-hour window. All registered people will be sent a link via email during the viewing window.
*Register here*: https://forms.gle/z97zjJM3MgChosRq8 (Pre-registration is required!)
Post-Viewing Discussion Groups (optional)
To help people digest the documentary in a more personal and intimate space, we will be providing the opportunity for a variety of post-watch discussion groups based on gender identity. There will be affinity groups available for women, men, and genderqueer/non-binary/trans folks. The women’s and men’s spaces are open and respecting of all trans and cis people who identify with the associated gender identity. Discussion groups will "meet" online via Zoom between Thursday, March 4, and Sunday, March 7, (details in future email).
This event is co-sponsored by the CLASS department, the NMT-AAUW Student Club, and the AAUW-Socorro Chapter. If you have questions, email Prof. Chris ChoGlueck at firstname.lastname@example.org.
