New Mexico Tech Merit Scholarships

for Incoming Freshmen

Gold Scholarship

$6,000 per year, renewable for a maximum of 4 academic years (8 academic semesters, excluding summer semesters)

Silver Scholarship $5,000 per year, renewable for a maximum of 4 academic years (8 academic semesters, excluding summer semesters) National Merit Semifinalist Certificate or high school GPA of 3.5 and ACT 30 or SAT 1390
Presidential Scholarship $4,000 per year, renewable for a maximum of 4 academic years (8 academic semesters, excluding summer semesters)  High School GPA of 3.25 and ACT 27 or SAT 1280
Copper Scholarship $2,000 per year, renewable for a maximum of 4 academic years (8 academic semesters, excluding summer semesters)  HIgh School GPA of 3.0 and ACT 23 or SAT 1130
Tech Tuition Assistance $1,400 for the first semester Must be a NM resident who has graduated from an NM high school or completed the NM GED/HiSET within 16 months of enrolling at NMT
NM Legislative Lottery Scholarship

For 2018-19 academic year, $1,500 per semester*.  Awarded beginning with second semester of enrollment.  Renewable, for a maximum of 7 semesters (excluding summer semesters)

Must be a NM resident who has graduated from an NM high school or completed the NM GED/HiSET within 16 months of enrolling at NMT None Automatically Awarded
 Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program  Student pays 150% of resident tuition rates. Renewable, for a maximum of 4 years

 Must be a resident of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming

3.0 high school GPA and 23 ACT or 1130 SAT

 Must be admitted by March 1

 Colorado Reciprocity (CORE) Scholarship

 Student pays resident tuition rates. Renewable, for a maximum of 4 years

 

 Must be a Colorado resident

2.5 high school GPA and ACT 21 or SAT 1070

 Must be admitted by March 1

15 positions available each year. Apply early for best consideration.

 Competitive Scholarship

 Student pays resident tuition rates, plus receives a $700 stipend per academic year.  Renewable, for a maximum of 4 years

 Must be a non-resident student with a 3.25 high school GPA and ACT 27 or SAT 1280

 Must be admitted by March 1

 

Limited varying number of scholarships available each year. Apply early for best consideration.

Eligible students are offered one merit scholarship upon entering New Mexico Tech. All merit scholarships for incoming students require the student to be enrolled full time (12 hours or more per semester).  Students must be pursuing their first Bachelor's Degree in order to be eligible.
